Welcome to Miami!

By Sunir - February 28th, 2008 (16 Comments)

As the poet that has defined our generation, Will Smith, has so eloquently put it:

Here I am in the place where I come let go
Miami the base and the sunset glow
Everyday like a mardi gras, everybody party all day
No work, all play, okay

That’s right folks. Mike, Saul, and I have landed in Miami and are partyin’ like it’s BarCamp Miami 2008. I’ve got my Hawaiian shirt on and I’ve experienced the joy and wonder of Mango’s Tropical Cafe.

So, let’s get this party started. Here’s the first installment of Roadburn!

Like the video says, folks, if you want us to interview an Interweb Idol here at BarCamp Miami, Future of Web Apps Miami, BarCamp Austin, and SXSW Interactive post a comment and we’ll track them down.

Saul hosting and rockin’ the microphone… Mike (in cool shades) and Sunir co-hosting… roadburn has the chance to become my favorite show. Can’t wait for the next installment.

Looks like you guys are enjoying it down there! You’d better show how the RV life is like? Have you guys already dipped into the movie stash?

    Nice shirt Sunir.

Is that a “bought it myself synthetic” or “on expense account linen?”

Hope you’re enjoying the the sun - you left the rest of us to suffer -20 degree weather yesterday.

Thomas, I have a small Salvation Army of Hawaiian shirts, but I like to keep my love for Hawaiian shirts in the closet.

It’s about twenty degrees here in NYC; South Beach sounds perfect right about now. Be sure to hit Loews poolside bar or spoil yourself with dinner at the Delano

What, no salty language like the RV salesman? C’mon!

If you watch the next video, I would put money on some of the German words toward the end being rather “salty.” :)

Arrrrgh. You hit Mango’s without me. I land tomorrow.

    Sunir,

Tom, I don’t see myself suddenly stuck in an icy snow bank down in Florida. ;)
